Melbourne International Three-Day Event set to get underway

First held in 1957, the GM Specialty Vehicles Melbourne International Three-Day Event has cemented itself as Victoria’s premier three-day event and a proving ground for some of Australia’s best riders and horses.

The 2023 edition of the event is set to begin tomorrow (Thursday, 8 June) at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre with the Dubarry First Horse Inspection for the Off The Track CCI2*L and 4CYTE CCI3*L classes at 1pm AEST.

Eventing stars of the future will also be in action on the opening day from 9am AEST as part of the IRT Young Eventing Horse Challenge, with this event offering classes for four-, five- and six-year-old horses. Thursday’s entry is free of charge for spectators.

Friday, 9 June (free entry)

Dubarry 1st Horse Inspection

7.45am: Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*L followed by Off The Track CCIJ2*L

Dressage 

8.30am: 4CYTE CCI3*L – Martin Collins Main Arena

12pm: Off The Track CCI2*L – Martin Collins Main Arena

Saturday, 10 June (ticketed entry)

Dressage

8am: Off The Track CCI2*L continues – Martin Collins Main Arena

1.15pm: Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4* – Martin Collins Main Arena

1.45pm: Off The Track CCIJ2*L – Dressage Sand Arena

Sunday, 11 June (ticketed entry)

Cross Country

9.30am: Off The Track CCI2*L and Off The Track CCIJ2* L

12.50pm: 4CYTE CCI3*L

2.15pm: Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*L

Jumping

5pm: Jumping Speed Competition and Stallion Rail One Round Stakes – Indoor 1

Monday, 12 June (ticketed entry)

Second Horse Inspection

8am: CCI2*L followed by CCIJ2*L – beside Indoor No. 1

9am: CCI3*L followed by CCI4*L

Jumping – Main Arena

9.30am: Off The Track CCI2* L followed by Off The Track CCIJ2*L

On completion of both classes – presentations, including CCI2*L Teams presentation

12.30pm: 4CYTE CCI3*L, followed by presentation

2pm: Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*L, followed by presentation
