The 2021 National Cutting Horse Association 4CYTE Futurity has been postponed due to the increasing COVID-19 restrictions being reinstated across NSW.

The event, which is known as the highest paying equine event in the Southern Hemisphere, was scheduled to take place in Tamworth from 26 July – 8 August.

The NCHA Board announced its decision yesterday, releasing the following statement:

“Significant changes have been seen since our last update, and the NCHA now feels that, in accordance with the health advice, the health and safety of the cutting community, our industry and the Tamworth region is the foremost consideration.

While we were very hopeful to continue as planned, circumstances outside of our control have dictated the need to make this difficult decision. The current COVID-19 situation is quickly evolving and we now face state border closures and regularly updated health advice about gatherings and movement across NSW.

We are, however, committed to deliver this event at a later date and the Board has moved that the NCHA Futurity show be postponed to the earliest dates in 2021 that the Association is able to hold this event at AELEC, Tamworth.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding during this period of uncertainty and plan to deliver more information around new dates in 2021 and further updates ASAP.”
