Isabell Werth has entered 2019 at the top of the FEI Dressage World Rankings with mare Weihegold OLD. The pair have retained their number one ranking with 2742 points to sit just ahead of world number two Laura Graves and Verdades on 2714.

Isabell also fills both the third and fourth positions with Bella Rose and Emilio respectively, meaning the top four places remain unchanged from last month. Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH are in fifth (up from seventh), Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St John Freestyle are in sixth (up from eighth), Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jnr are in seventh (down from sixth), Edward Gal and Glock’s Zonik NOP are in eighth (up from ninth), Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Blue Hors Zack are in ninth (up from tenth), and Jessica Von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB round out the current top ten. Jessica and Dalera were the big movers, rising from 20th position last month to enter the new year in the top ten.

While much of the top ten remains unchanged, there have been some big movers further down the rankings. Our very own Kristy Oatley and Du Soleil have moved from 44th last month to begin the new year as 35th in the world – congratulations Kristy!

Other combinations to rise through the ranks include Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Blue Hors Zepter (33 up to 18) and Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Dream Boy NOP (48 up to 24).
