Queensland Government accused of ‘blatant failure’ to act on horses starved to death

Queensland’s Agriculture Department has been accused of a “blatant failure” to uphold animal welfare standards, with no public findings six months after dozens of horses were found starved to death on the Darling Downs.

In January, up to 35 dead horses, including some ex-racehorses, were found at a property at Charlton, outside Toowoomba.
