Rose Oatley & Daddy Moon lead Germany to team gold at the European Pony Championships

The European Pony Championships are underway in Strzegem, Poland, with Germany crowned the gold medal winning team ahead of Denmark with silver and the Netherlands with bronze.
The German team was led to victory by Rose Oatley and Daddy Moon, who scored an incredible personal best of 82.629%. Their previous personal best in the Team Test was 77.114% in Hungary last year, and yesterday’s percentage even surpassed their best Freestyle score to date of 81.4%. Dressage News has reported their European Championship Team Test to be a world record score.
Although she rides for Germany, Rose is the daughter of Australian Olympian Kristy Oatley.
Second place in the Team Test went to Rose’s German team mate Antonia Roth riding Daily Pleasure WE, with the pair scoring 78.114%, while Denmark’s Sophia Boje Obel Jorgensen was third with Adriano B on 77.914%.
The other two German team riders also ranked highly, with Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen on Carleo GO fourth on 75.429% and Antonia Busch-Kuffner on Katsanienhof Cockney Cracker fifth on 75.286%.
Competition continues over the weekend with the Individual Test and Freestyle.
