Australian Samantha Sidwell has enjoyed a successful outing at CDI Motešice in Slovakia, winning the CDI Young Horse seven-year-old classes with strong scores.

The talented black gelding, by Secret out of Giant Luca (Gardez), was awarded 73.66% in the Preliminary Test and 70.415% in the Final Test.

Sidwell purchased Selected in Würzburg, Germany as a three-year-old and imported him to Australia where he had many young horse class wins – including Champion of Champions at the 2023 Dressage and Jumping with the Stars as a four-year-old with the late Elliot Patterson in the saddle.

Sidwell returned to Germany at the end of 2024 and is now permanently based in Hagen with a team of horses.

Motešice was Selected’s first-ever CDI (international-level) class, and Sidwell is excited to see what lies ahead.

“I am looking forward to the summer season ahead with this special young horse,” shares Sidwell.
