Simone Pearce’s 14-year-old bay Hanoverian Grand Prix ride, Scolari has been sold to Japan. According to the Eurodressage website, the stunning bay gelding has been sold to Japanese dressage rider, Akihiro Shimoda. Shimoda has acquired the talented Grand Prix gelding in hopes of making the Japanese Olympic team, for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Games.
Simone and Scolari have had an immensely successful partnership together, having won countless titles and placings.
Simone posted a statement on her Facebook page which read, “As seen on Eurodressage it is with the heaviest heart that I tell you all, that our beautiful Scolari has been sold. I’m so grateful to this amazing horse for all he has done for me, from our personal best Grand Prix score of 74.86% to my first ever CDI4* Grand Prix win, it’s been a truly amazing all be it short lived journey together!! We had a big dream that was unfortunately cut short, but I will be forever thankful to have had the opportunity to have this amazing horse in my life, and I will cherish out memories and milestones for the rest of my life.”
