Simone Pearce & All We Need win CDI3* Grand Prix Special
By Equestrian Life
Simone Pearce and All We Need have claimed another win at Reiterhof Stückler International Dressage Show in St. Margarethen, Austria, scoring 70.489% to finish at the top of the rankings in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special.
“The Grand Prix Special is still very new and green for ‘Miss Ally’ but I thought she did a great job under the circumstances… I feel like our training has really clicked in the last few weeks and I’m so excited to see how we can improve in the coming weeks,” said Simone.
Simone also finished second in the CDI3* Grand Prix (qualification for GP Freestyle) riding 17-year-old stallion Destano to a score of 72.922%.
As a score “approaching or exceeding 69%” in a CDI3* Grand Prix test, the result counts is one of two required qualifying scores for Paris as per the Competition Criteria section of Australia’s dressage team Nomination Criteria (as well as an FEI MER). Combinations must also demonstrate experience in two CDI3* (or higher) Grand Prix Special tests during the qualifying period, so Simone and All We Need’s performance on Saturday in the Special will count towards this section of the criteria as well.
Simone will now contest the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday with Destano at 12pm local time, 8pm AEST.
