Australian Olympic dressage rider Simone Pearce has enjoyed a success weekend at the International Easter Dressage Show in Gössendorf, Austria.

Simone and her Olympic ride, the black stallion Destano, competed in the CDI4* Grand Prix on Saturday where they finished in first place with a score of 73.435%

“Great way to come back to competition with Destano after a long winter break, a few rusty mistakes but it’s so good to be back out with the big boss,” said Simone of her win.

Simone and Destano continued their winning streak to also finish first in the Grand Prix Freestyle with a huge score of 77.770%!

“Sadly I made mistakes in the one tempis which cost points but other than that I was really, really happy with the test! Destano feels in best shape than ever. I love to dance with this special soul on days like this,” said Simone

Simone also rode Cristall 8 in the CDI3* Grand Prix class where the combination finished in 4th place with a score of 68.304%.

“Cristall was a little bit distracted today, this is his first long Grand Prix so I’m still really happy with him and excited for all the things we can improve going forward,” said Simone.
