Simone Pearce wins in Exloo

Australian dressage rider Simone Pearce has enjoyed at win in the Netherlands over the weekend with Gestüt Bonhomme’s stunning stallion Grey Flanell.

The pair contested the Big Tour Inter II at the Subtop Competition, held at Hippisch Centrum in Exloo, scoring 70.809% to claim a decisive win.

“So happy and proud of how much more he starts to trust me and fight for me now,” said Simone following the win. “It’s far from perfect (and I miss judged the warm up timing a bit so I didn’t do any (piaffe passage) before the test, which had it not as amazing as it can be) but to have this very special boy stay so positive and relaxed with me in the arena is just the best feeling I could ask for! I’m very thankful for the opportunity to grow and learn with this amazing horse and I can’t wait to see whats in the future with him.”

Grey Flanell is a rising 13-year-old KWPN stallion by Gribaldi and out of a Clavecimbel mare and was considered to be one of the most eye-catching stallions at the Oldenburg licensing back in 2012. Beginning Grand Prix in 2020, Grey Flannell has competed at one CDI in 2021 with former Gestüt Bonhomme rider Lena Waldmann in the saddle.

We look forward to following Simone’s journey with this beautiful horse — no doubt exciting things to come!
