The final day of dressage at the Melbourne International Three-Day Event has concluded under clearing skies after some early morning drizzle, setting the stage for an exciting day of cross country tomorrow. 

CCI4*-L – Pryde’s EasiFeed

In the top class for the weekend,  Sonja Johnson and Parkiarrup Showtime led the Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*-L field with a score of 32.2. Emma Mason, riding KPH Kingfisher, followed closely with 32.9, while Christen Lane on Bellhaven Cumbria secured third place with 33.8.

CCI2*-L – Off The Track

The CCI2*-L class, sponsored by Off The Track, saw another day of strong competition. Murray Lamperd and Full Fathom Five took the early lead with 28.5, which held for the entirity of the class. Charlotte Lalak on Fairbanks Casino lie in overnight second with 29.2, and Jess Somerfield riding APH New Sensation secured third overnight with 30.5.

CCN4*-S – for the Olympic Long-Listed Combinations

This year’s event introduced a special CCN4*-S class for Olympic long-listed combinations, providing a critical final opportunity for riders to showcase their results ahead of the selection.

Shenae Lowings and Bold Venture top the CCN4*-S with a score of 26.4, starting the weekend in a similiar fashion to their recent win at Adelaide International. Shane Rose, making a remarkable return to competition after a serious riding accident which saw him in the ICU, lies in second overnight with Virgil, scoring 29.2. Andrew Cooper and Sharvalley Thunder round out the top three in third place with 32.7.

CCN1*-L for Thoroughbreds Only

The CCN1*-L class, exclusively for Thoroughbreds, showcased impressive performances. Georgia Spangaro and Lord Wimborne lie in first overnight with a score of 25.3. Lily Wickenden on Stage Fright follows in second with 27.5, while Kylah Brewer riding Princess Keikilani holds third with 28.3.

Cross-Country Day

Cross-Country will start from 8.45am tomorrow, as follows:

  • Off the Track CCN1*L for Thoroughbreds
  • Off The Track CCI2*L
  • Equestrian Victoria CCIJ2*L
  • 4CYTE CCI3*L
  • Pryde’s EasiFeed CCI4*L
  • Equestrian Australia CCN4*-S
