The 2018 Tonimbuk International Horse Trials kicks off today, with classes ranging from EvA80 to CIC3*.
This ever-popular event will see some of Australia’s top riders compete. In the CIC3*, Olympians Amanda Ross (riding Koko Popping Candy) and Megan Jones (riding Kirby Park Impress) are set to compete, alongside nine other top-level combinations. The CIC2* and CIC1* star classes will feature a mix of up and coming young riders, young horses and also more experienced combinations looking to ease their way into the 2018 eventing season. As always, the CIC1* will be hotly contested, with more than 40 combinations entered!
EvA105, EvA95 and EvA 80 classes and also on offer, with plenty of entries in each grade; there are three divisions on the 80 and 95, and a further two divisions in the 105 such is the number of entries.

Amanda Ross and Koko Popping Candy are also entered for the CIC3*.

For those who are keen to catch some of the action over the weekend, the provisional timetable is as follow:
Friday 9th (afternoon): Dressage 95A and 80A classes
Saturday 10th: All other dressage / 95, 80 2* and 3* show jumping (Note — the 2* and 3* showjumping is Saturday night)
Sunday 11th: 1* and 105 show jumping / all cross country
Entry is free for spectators! Full catering is available all weekend as well as an extensive trade village.
