British-born event rider Lissa Green – daughter of David and Lucinda Green – has revealed that she intends to compete under the Australian flag.

Lissa’s mother, Lucinda, has won Badminton a record six times while David Green represented Australia at three Olympica games and won a team eventing gold medal in Barcelona (1992).

Lissa, who has declared she’s “an Aussie at heart” will remain in the UK train in the heart of the eventing scene.

Lissa, 29, competed at her first Badminton in 2017 aboard the Ali G Syndicate’s Malin Head Clover but unfortunately had to withdraw before the showjumping. This year, she is planning to ride 14-year-old gelding Hollyfield at Badminton.
