An unlikely pair of friends have found a new home together, after being rescued from the same farm in Pennsylvania, earlier this year in July.

Waffles, the 6-year-old miniature horse and his feathered friend, Hemingway were rescued from the same property, after being kept in filthy conditions, with restricted water and shelter.

Waffles and Hemingway became very good friends after sharing a stable together, and soon became inseparable. As a result, the Bucks County SPCA requested that the pair be adopted together, which is just what someone did.

The Bucks County SPCA shared an update on their Facebook page which read, “Waffles and Hemingway have left our barn for their new home! We will miss them, but we couldn’t be happier for this special pair. Waffles hopped right in, ready to go with his best friend by his side. They went home with wonderful adopters who are experienced with horses and have other farm friends for Waffles and Hemingway to meet. We wish them all many sunny days and green pastures!”
