Living Legends has made the sad announcement that Rogan Josh passed away this morning, after being humanely euthanised following colic related complications.

“It is the saddest of sad days,” said Living Legends CEO and Veterinary Director Dr Andrew Clarke. “This was a battle that he just could not win. All at Living Legends are heartbroken and our condolences go out to owner Wendy Green and her family, as well as Josh’s many fans from around the world.”

Rogan Josh, foaled in 1992, won the 1999 Melbourne Cup with jockey John Marshall and trainer Bart Cummings. He was a long-time and much-loved resident of Living Legends, a retirement home for champion racehorses just north of Melbourne.

Equestrian’s Life’s thoughts are with the team at Living Legends and Rogan Josh’s connections.
