Boyd Martin and the 12-year-old KWPN chestnut gelding, Contestor claimed the $50,000 Devon Arena Eventing win at the Devon Horse Show & County Fair in Pennsylvania.
The course, which was designed by Captain Mark Phillips consisted of 26 jumps in the first round, which were dispersed across 1,100 meters. The course proved to be a challenge, with just five of the thirty combinations delivering a faultless performance.
Boyd and Contestor won the class with a fast and faultless 73.30 seconds in the second final round.
Contestor competed at the Devon Arena Indoor Eventing the previous year, and finished the competition in eighth place.
