The 2025 FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses is about to get underway in Verden, Germany with the six-year-old qualifier the first class to start on Wednesday.
The First Qualification for 6YO Horses will feature Australian entrant Alexandra Vodermair and her own Exact (Escamillo x Hohenstein), a gelding bred by Thorsten Hogrefe.

Australian Susan Hoevenaars is one of four judges overseeing the 6YO class.
On Thursday, Australian Tayla Desmet will ride Dark Diamond (Diamond Hit x Zonic) in the First Qualification for 5YO Horses. Dark Diamond was bred in Australia by Tayla and her family and is out of Tayla’s Grand Prix mare Zaubermaus.

Fellow Aussie Alicia Ryan will also contest the 5YO class, riding for Sweden with Morricello II VH (by Moricone x Floricello).
